1. What Telemedicine Means
Telemedicine is a consultation with a registered doctor using phone, video, or similar technology, without being physically present in the same room.
2. Benefits
- Convenient access from home
- Reduced travel time
- Useful for follow-ups and initial guidance
3. Limitations
- Physical examination may not be possible
- Technology problems (network, audio/video) may interrupt care
- Some conditions require an in-person visit before advice or prescription
- Certain medicines cannot be prescribed online under Indian guidelines
4. Your Consent
By booking an online session, you confirm that:
- You understand the nature and limits of telemedicine
- You will provide accurate identity and medical information
- You agree that the doctor may recommend an in-person visit if needed
- You will seek emergency care locally if your condition worsens suddenly
- For patients under 18, a parent/guardian consents and participates as required
5. Privacy
Online consultations will be conducted with attention to privacy. You should join from a private space. We will not record the session without your written consent.
6. Right to Withdraw
You may withdraw consent for telemedicine and request an in-person appointment instead, subject to availability and our cancellation policy.
